Staff appreciation week at Ethel Milliken

Did you miss our Staff Appreciation potluck red carpet events?  No Worries - the EMSCC encourages you to shower the staff with swag on Favorite Things Friday!  Have a look at our list (attachment) to get to know our teachers, administrators, support and building staff a bit better.  If you can think of a token of appreciation to give to the men and women who look after our kids every day, just slip it into your child's packpack Friday morning!

Thank you for your help all week in making our Ethel Milliken staff feel like stars.

Ethel Milliken Staff Appreciation Week February 8th to February 12th!

Next week is Staff Appreciation Week at Ethel Milliken School!

It’s the time of year when we thank the staff of Ethel Milliken School for all the problems solved, lessons learned and of course for molding our kids into fine, upstanding citizens. The theme this year is THE OSCARS so let's give our teachers and staff the STAR treatment!

The EMSCC has a dynamite week planned.

On Monday we’ll have a popcorn bar.

Tuesday, we’re hosting a hot breakfast.

On Wednesday, we’ll deliver hot drinks.

Thursday is a potluck lunch.

The EMSCC has Monday and Wednesday covered, but we’d LOVE for you to bring a dish to either our Tuesday breakfast or Thursday lunch. Check out Volunteer Spot for details.

We are hoping all the families can get board in some way!  Friday is Favourite Things Day! We will publish a list of your child’s teacher’s favourite foods, color, song, etc. and we encourage you to shower your teacher with a simple token of your appreciation.

Your child may come home with a coloring project to give to their teacher or other staff member,  so please help them show their appreciation!

The Ethel Milliken School Community Council thanks you for help in recognizing the amazing staff we have at our school.

Let's celebrate the great work of the staff at Ethel Milliken School!

Your child is bringing home some WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL ART today!

This ART CARD project was initiated last year and it was a huge success!  Your child's art becomes your holiday greeting card.  You can order as many as you like and share with family and friends!

What a great way to start the holiday season by supporting your child's school and promoting their art exhibit!

REMINDER

FRIDAY DECEMBER 11th is the last day to submit your order for the ART CARD

The order form is on the inside of the ART Card

Donations and Volunteers gratefully accepted at this time of year!

This year at Ethel Milliken students are once again collecting items to support Albert Community School and their "Treasure Store". The purpose of the drive is to collect gently used (or new) items that their students can “shop” from to ensure that everyone in their homes is able to receive gift at Christmas.  Items such as toys, books, games, jewellery, and other small items are acceptable. Stuffed toys, candles, and blankets are discouraged. Thank you for your support.

Every year Ethel Milliken School also collects donations of food and small gifts for the senior citizens of Regina who have no family and would otherwise have a lonely Christmas season.
