Mom and Dad, can I call a friend?

The Ethel Milliken School Community Council is creating a 2014/15 school directory.  It is simply a list of the students' names with contact information.  It is useful for families when trying to get together with friends or plan parties.  Our school is growing and a directory is a good tool for helping us get to know one another!  Participation is VOLUNTARY so if you would like to participate you need to fill out a form and return it to school.  These forms did go home in your child's backpack but if you didn't get it, please find another copy attached below.  Print it out and return by Monday October 13th.  Then we will put together the directory and send a copy home with each family.

Reminder: Order Deadline for School Supplies...

School Start

By now, you have received your school supply list for next year.  It was a 2-page yellow handout given to each child at school.  This is an exact replica of what you will find online at www.schoolstart.ca.

This order form has a Starter Package as well as Additional Items.  The Additional Items are required by each teacher; but they include items such as pencil cases, sharpeners, and calculators which may not need to be purchased on a year to year basis if you already have them.  Please either bring these items from home OR order them online. Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal are accepted. Every online order is entered for a chance to win a $750 gas card.

The Order Deadline is June 23rd.  Late orders will be accepted online until September 16, 2014 ($5 late fee will apply).

The supplies will be packaged and delivered directly to the school in August before your child arrives, labeled with his/her name on the School Start Package. There are also name label stickers included in the Starter Package free of charge. During the online checkout process you will have the option for the supplies to be delivered to your home instead.

The Ethel Milliken School Community Council is excited to offer the opportunity to purchase your school supplies through School Start for the 2014/2015 school year.  This process will save you both time and money. As well, it will help ensure all students arrive at the first day of school ready to learn with all their needed supplies.  This program has been successfully implemented in other Regina schools.  Another added bonus is the EMSCC will be receiving 10% back as a fundraiser!

If you have any questions, please contact School Start info@schoolstart.ca  1-800-580-1868

You can also contact the EMSCC by calling or emailing Tanya Craig at queencitycraigs@accesscomm.ca or 306-205-1626.
