Healthy Hunger Lunches

Our February Healthy Hunger lunch is from Barburrito! The lunch will take place on February 16. All orders must be placed on the Healthy Hunger website by February 10. March Healthy Hunger is Extreme Pita. The lunch will be March 15 and the cut off for orders is March 9.

50/50 Jackpot Climbs

After 1 week of sales, our 50/50 Jackpot is over $2500.00! Please consider buying tickets as well as sharing the ticket sales information with family and friends. You do not need to be affiliated with the school to purchase tickets, you only need to live in Saskatchewan! The winner will take home half the jackpot and the draw will take place on February 16. EMSCC 50/50 Fundraiser

The Ethel Milliken School Community Council is excited to bring back the 50/50 fundraiser! Starting today, tickets can be purchased by anyone  in Saskatchewan.The winner will take home half of the money raised and the rest will go toward our goal of a new sound system in the gym. Last year's winner took home almost $3600.00! This is an easy fundraiser, the more people who buy, the greater the prize! Please share the link with friends and family and consider promoting our 50/50 raffle on social media. Ticket sales go from January 16 until February 16.

Students with Life-Threatening Conditions

We have some new and very detailed forms for students with life-threatening conditions. These conditions include but are not limited to anaphylaxis, seizure disorders, cardiac conditions and severe asthma. If your child has a life-threatening condition, please e-mail ethelmilliken@rbe.sk.ca or phone the school at 306 791-8489 with the name of your student and the life-threatening condition and we will send the appropriate  package of new forms to you.

Kids Help Phone

December 12, 2022 -- Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7 e-mental health service offering free, confidential support to young people in English and French.

Mental health tips and info - With Kids Help Phone’s web resources, young people can get information about how their thoughts, feelings and behaviours are connected and what they can do to care for their well-being.

Food Drive and CANstruction Project

Inspired by their book study of Amanda Gorman's Change Sings, the grade 2A students have issued a challenge to all Milliken Eagles. We will be collecting canned and non-perishable food items December 1-14. On December 15, classes will be paired together and will use the food they collected to create a structure out of the cans. The group with the most impressive creation will win a pizza party! All food will be donated to the Regina Food Bank and Carmichael Outreach.

Healthy Hunger Boston Pizza Lunch December 8

We will be hosting a Healthy Hunger lunch from Boston Pizza on December 8. Orders must be placed on the Healthy Hunger website by December 3. Click here to visit the site. Healthy Hunger is a national company that runs hot lunches for schools, partnering with local restaurants. The school selects and works with restaurants who are partnered with the Healthy Hunger company to offer optional hot lunches.
