Reminder: PD day and Provincial Election October 26

There is no school for students on Monday October 26, this is the day of the Provincial election. Our school gym is being used as a polling station however the voters will enter through the foyer directly into the gym. They will not be in any other part of our school building. The staff will be participating in professional development in the main school building. The gymnasium and the gymnasium washrooms will be disinfected following the election in addition to the regular school-wide daily disinfection, prior to the students returning to school on Tuesday, October 27.

Things are Looking UP!

Did you notice several workmen on our roof yesterday? They were tradespeople who were at our school beginning the installation of our new air purification system! We are so excited and we know how important this initiative is to our community. Regina Public Schools is investing in new purification systems for every school and building. New filter technology will begin to be added to ventilation systems to complement the increased air flow. Phase one deployment of our ionization units has now been completed!

COVID Alert App

SEPTEMBER 25, 2020 -- With the fall weather moving Canadians indoors, it's important that all tools be used to fight the spread of COVID-19. Health Canada has requested that we share information about the COVID-19 alert app for all of our school families and staff. Please consider downloading this app.

Dismissal Procedures for Elementary Schools

SEPTEMBER 17, 2020—With almost one week of classes for all students completed, we are grateful for school family cooperation that has helped make student school experiences safe and positive.

As we proceed into the school year, we are refining our school-based procedures, including how we release students at the end of the school day. Although we initially communicated that we required parent permission to release students at 3:22 p.m., this is no longer the case.

Stay home when you are sick

Education is important but the health and safety of our students and staff is most important! Please, do not send your students to school if they are sick. See the image for more information. If children are sick at school, they will be monitored in the isolation room and parents/guardians will be contacted to pick them up immediately. Please keep children at home until all symptoms are cleared up!

Thank you for helping to keep our school and community safe!
