2. Even in Kindergarten, absences can cause children to fall behind in their learning.

3. Missing 10 percent (or about 18 days) can make it difficult to learn to read – a critical future skill.

Our open house & barbecue is Thursday, September 20th from 5:30-7pm.

We are very excited to reunite with our families and welcome the new members of our Milliken Nation families.

At 6:30pm we will host a mini workshop in the Resource Centre for those families who would like a refresher on how to use PowerSchool to see how their children are doing in reference to their learning agenda. Following this presentation we will hold a second session on how to pay fees online.

We are excited to share the attached invitation to our upcoming Social Media Awareness and Parenting the Digital World event being held on Wednesday, September 26th at Campus Regina Public, starting at 7:00 p.m.  Regina Public Schools is proud to sponsor this event which is being presented by Safer Schools Together.

We will reschedule our Open House to a later date.

School begins on Tuesday, September 4 @ 8:53AM. We will host a welcome back assembly @ 9:30AM, parents and families are welcome to attend.

Students will  meet up with their new teachers on the playground prior to 8:53AM and then walk into the school together to their new classrooms when the recess bell rings. Staff will have class lists and will be able to direct the students to their new teacher.
