January 25, 2021– the Saskatchewan Health Authority informed us that there was one case of COVID-19 in an individual at Ethel Milliken School.

For the safety of students and staff, and in consultation with Public Health, we have informed all close contacts and provided them information about self isolation. Affected students will begin remote learning and will not return to the school until February 4th.

Letters will be sent to all school families on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

January 20, 2021 -- Ever wondered what happens when there is a case of COVID-19 at a school? A lot of work goes on behind the scenes. After the notification from Public Health, it usually begins with school division and school-based administration identifying potential close contacts in the school. This work is done in consultation with and confirmed by Public Health.

January 14, 2021--Your Board of Education and school division would like to know your thoughts about the recent temporary remote learning in which all students participated, before and after the holiday break.

We are asking parents, guardians, students and employees to participate in a voluntary, anonymous and confidential survey. Deadline for completing the survey is January 29, 2021.

A summary of the survey results will be on the Regina Public Schools website, when available.

Busses may be delayed today due to icy conditions. If transportation cancels busses tomorrow they will contact families by automated phone call. You can also listen to the radio for transportation updates. Please be careful as streets, sidewalks and driveways are extremely slippery! 

Do you have a child who will be 5 years old by December 21, 2021 and who lives in the Ethel Milliken Attendance area? They will be eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year. We are not accepting registrations yet as we do not yet have registration packages. Keep checking back here on our website for updates. We will likely be accepting registrations at the beginning of April, 2021! Thank you for your patience we are excited to have a new class of kinders for the 2021-2022 school year.

JANUARY 11, 2021 -- The Saskatchewan Health Authority has provided an updated poster called, "Does Your Child Have Symptoms?" that can be accessed by CLICKING HERE.

All Milliken students will return to in-person learning on Monday, January 11! All busses will be running and we will be following our regular day. All covid-19 safety protocols remain in place including masks and no deliveries of outside food. Families who borrowed technology from the school are asked to send an adult to the school between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on Monday, January 11 to return the device. Ring the doorbell in the front foyer for service. Thank you, we can't wait to have out eaglets back in the nest!
