Families with sick students are asked to follow these guidelines:
SEPTEMBER 29, 2020 -- Before school, check for symptoms. If not feeling well, stay home and call 811. Use the SHA online self-assessment tool. Please contact school if student will be away.
On September 1, 1980, after running for 143 days and 5,373 kilometres (3,339 miles) Terry stopped running outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario as his cancer had spread to his lungs. Each year, Canadians participate in a run to raise funds for Cancer research and to keep Terry's Marathon of Hope alive. Although we cannot collect donations or do a whole school Terry Fox run, we are asking students to dress in 1980's neon on Friday, October 2. Teachers may choose to take their own individual class out for a walk or run in Terry's memory that day.
September 30 is Orange Shirt Day. Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange shirts to honour the Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools in Canada and to learn more about the history of those schools.
