The SHA has sent us a new shipment of rapid tests for families with school children under 11 through the test to protect program. Unlike the previous kits of 25, these kits contain 5 tests each. Families may call the office to request a test kit and indicate if you will pick it up or if you would like it sent home with your child. We will limit to one box per family to start. If you run out and require an additional kit, please call and we can provide them if we still have stock available. Please remember these are for personal use and not for your business or other ventures.

We will be hosting virtual fall conferences on Wednesday, November 10 (Tuesday, Nov 9 for Kindergarten B) by ZOOM. Please book your appointment by selecting your child's teacher and choosing a time on their page. If you have more than one child, you will need to book with each teacher. Each teacher will have a separate Zoom link. There will be no school for students on November 10 in order to facilitate virtual conferences.

As you know, the government sent a small number of rapid test kits to schools which could be requested by families of students from kindergarten to age 11. We have given out our last testing kit. We are unsure of if/when we will receive additional kits. Edsby and the website will be updated when we receive more. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

The city of Regina has changed the zoning in front of the school. Pay attention to the signs and notice the following changes:

-Bus drop off zone is now along the primary chain link fence, no cars should stop or drop off in this zone.

-Handicap parking is directly behind the bus parking, no cars should stop or drop off in this zone unless they have a designated handicap parking pass.

-Loading zone/drop off is now in front of the school lawn.

We still have a few rapid test kits available for families with students aged 11 and under. If you have a child who is a student at Ethel Milliken who is 11 or under and you would like a rapid test kit for your home, please contact the office and we will set it aside for you and arrange pick up. The kits will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We are not sure if/when we will receive additional kits. Each kit has 25 tests and can be used by the entire family for personal use. Monday, October 18 is school bus driver appreciation day! We have 2 very kind bus drivers at Ethel Milliken School. Take the time to thank them, make them a card or just give them an extra smile or a wave this Monday! We are grateful to them both for getting so many of our students to and from school safely!
