Thank you to staff and students from our GSA and our SRC for painting our rainbow crosswalk and rainbow entrance last evening to "surPRIDEse" our students on PRIDE day. At Ethel Milliken, we believe and support the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that says: "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood." On PRIDE day we celebrate that in our school, everyone belongs and everyone is important and special.

We will be wearing orange shirts on Monday, May 31 as part of the Every Child Matters movement to honour the 215 child victims of the residential school system found in Kamloops.

The SHA will be running a vaccine clinic for students, including Ethel Milliken students, aged 12 years of age and older at the following location:

Our EMSCC is partnering with Dr. Perry and Harbour Landing SCC to offer a babysitting course for our students aged 11 and up. To register click here. They are also offering a home alone course for students aged 10-14. Information is on the poster.

The EMSCC is a dedicated group of parents who are committed to supporting our school and students. They do a lot of awesome things in our school and community.
