A Message From the SCC

Your SCC has been working to come up with some great events + fundraisers for the 2019-2020 school year and wanted to share some information about upcoming opportunities for you to be involved!

We have a goal to raise $4000 this year to help cover our operating costs as well as plan some cool things for our school community. We’ve attached a calendar of the SCC events for the year so you can see what’s coming. Other fundraising we do will be for a new chest freezer for the school (to accommodate Menchies sales as well as cold treat days) and a new AV cabinet for the gym (to make the set-up process easier).

Want to help? Great!

Here’s how! ⤵

First, we are introducing a new School Cash Online option for donating to the SCC.

Don’t want to spend your Saturday baking cupcakes for a bake sale?  ➾ School Cash Online!

Don’t want to drive around delivering cookie dough on a Friday night? ➾ School Cash Online!

Want to be involved but feeling short on time? ➾ School Cash Online!

Want to contribute but don’t know where to start? ➾ School Cash Online!

You will see this option come up in your email in the next couple of days. We are only asking for one donation per family if you are able.

Second, we will be running FundScrip again this year in December. More information on this to come but if you have questions in the meantime, please email emscommcouncil@gmail.com.

To get up-to-date information from the SCC, subscribe to our newsletter by going to our website - www.millikencommunitycouncil.com. We will keep you informed throughout the year about new events, updates + changes that are happening at Milliken. We try to keep our Facebook page current as well - you can always check there for information on what’s coming up.

All parents are also welcome to our monthly meetings where we discuss current happenings at the school, hear from administration + get to make plans together for our students, families + staff.

We are looking forward to this year at Milliken and hope you’ll join us throughout the year at our community events!
